Pacific Merchants Acaciaware bowls are hand made from one piece of wood. These are hard wood, versatile and durable vs. glued together pieces. Solid Acacia wood bowls are not prone to cracking along glue lines. Acacia wood is harder than most woods and will not stain or pick up odors.
Sustainability is a core value of Pacific Merchants. Acacia trees can grow 2-3 feet per year on the same root stock. Pacific Merchants use wood sources with harvesting rates that do not exceed a forest's natural capacity to regenerate.
